Latest reviews of CWP-iStudent app for iPhone and iPad
This app comes with a good assortment of commentaries and the classic Smiths Bible Dictionary. However, it favors the ASB over the NASB and has their version of the NKJV called the cKJV, leading me to suspect that this organization has an unspecified problem with the more popular/newer versions. However, the two interlinear versions with Strongs Concordance links is invaluable. Navigation to different Bible books is easy, but getting to different chapters is tedious, requiring you to flip through one chapter at a time. Aside from this and the few and unusual choices of translations, plus a bug that makes it hard to change/keep Strongs link colors, this is a decent app that is mostly of value to me because it is the only one I can find so far with interlinear translations.
This will be short but sweet. Bookmarks do not work at all on the iPhone if you copy and paste from iPad notes. If you dont mind entering the information twice, once on each device, then go ahead. If you only have an iPad out a iPhone this app may work for you.
Wheres the morphology?
More like a beta version. -Unable to select Revelation from the Bible Books selection page. Revelation option obstructed by menu bar. -Strongs definitions dont use landscape size font when touched in landscape mode. Must go to portrait orientation then back to landscape orientation. -Not able to select a bible verse, only the chapter. -Interlinear view: Menu bar disappears in landscape mode. Must orient to portrait to see options. -Interlinear view: Strongs definition page does not reliably return to source verse. -Interlinear view: Switching between portrait and landscape results in different verses displayed. Landscape-John 3:19, Portrait-John 3:28 -Smiths Dictionary: Switching between portrait and landscape results in different word information displayed. Must scroll to find the same information.
In the book of Ruth, Strongs links go to Greek instead of Hebrew. Any fix for that?
